From the pens you scribble your grocery lists with to those old brick buildings you see on your way to work, creativity is all around us - and it’s my goal to constantly be in awe of it all.
I’m born and raised in the large state of South Dakota, and moved to the Minneapolis area for school in 2014. At MCAD, I didn’t just learn how to work within Adobe software and write 10 page essays the night before a due date, I learned how to be an entrepreneur. At first, in my Freshman year, I wanted to leave that Bachelors of Science program I had initially chosen that focussed so much on that entrepreneurial spark because it was hard. It was really difficult for me to wrap my mind around the vastness of what an entrepreneur means and does, but my professor pushed me to continue on that path and I’m glad that I did. From writing business plans to coming up with hundreds of ideas to find that one juicy one, I’ve found my calling when it comes to writing and strategy.
Throughout my experience at different agencies and internships, I’ve fallen in love with the thick research that comes with the discovery phase of kicking off a new campaign. It becomes a goal of mine to connect the dots between consumer and product through authentic insights and a keen eye. Creativity is in everything that we do, and especially within research, thinking outside of the box is a must.
